Charles E. Lasher was born at Plattsmouth, Nebraska, May 30, 1893, and died at a hospital at Kansas City, Mo., February 18, 1932, following a few days illness of pneumonia.
At the age of 9 months, he came with his parents to Havelock, Nebraska, where he grew to manhood, and at the age of 23 he was married to Miss Bessie Keenan of that town. To this union, two children were born: Margarette, aged fifteen years, and Christina, aged eleven years, both of whom are at this time with their widowed mother at Springdale, Arkansas.
Besides his wife and children, the deceased is survived by his parents, with two sisters, Mrs. Maud McMullin, Billings, Montana, and Mrs. Edith Kruger, of North Omaha, Nebraska, with many other relatives and a host of friends.
A brother of the departed, an ex service man, was buried in Paririe View cemetery about eleven years ago. Had the deceased lived until the thirteenth of May, he would have been 39 years of age.
Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian Church last Sunday afternoon, the pasto, Rev. H.P. Morgan, officiating. Interment was in PrairieView cemetery, with the following American Legion members acting as pallbearers: Harry Bloodgood, J.L. Boerman, Mike Ange, F.S. Young, W.H. Hawkins, and Albert Gaudian.
