Garden City - Jarvis Verdon Bruchy, 54, died Feb. 12, 1982, at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City, after a long illness. Born Aug. 15, 1927, in Hamilton County, he married Kathleen McElroy Jan. 30, 1949, at Garden City. He was a farmer and rancher until 1958, then worked for Internorth, Inc. as a measurement technician and was a longtime resident of Garden City.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, BPO, and the Elks Lodge, all of Garden City.
Survivors: widow, of the home; daughters, Rebecca Kay Bruchy, Minneapolis; Verdawna Sue Bruchy, Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters, Orrilla Stonehocker, Grace Crist, both of Garden City; Doris McAdams, Kansas City.
Funeral will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the church; the Rev. Calvin Hartman. Burial at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Memorials to the National Health Federation in care of the funeral home.
