Bevier Woman's Father Dies Near Greencastle
Martin J. Cory, 75 years of age, died yesterday morning at 3 o'clock at his farm home near Greencastle, where he had lived for more than fifty years, the Kirksville Daily Express states.
Funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and burial will be made in the Campbell Cemetery near Novinger.
Mr. Cory was the son of Jeremiah and Nancy Cory and was born in Scotland County, Missouri, Feb. 3, 1865. He was married to Margaret Bell Lawrence, March 6, 1889, who survives him. They had lived on the same farm since their marriage.
Besides his widow, Mr. Cory leaves three children: Willard, of Novinger, Mrs. Ola Fugate of Bevier, and Mrs. Frances Barkley of Kirksville; thirteen grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. F. C. Kramer of Kirksville and Mrs. Anna Williams of Greencastle. One son and daughter preceded him in death.
