MILFORD CLARK, FORMER COUNTY COMMISSIONER. DIES
Paralysis Fatal; Resided in Butler Township Before Moving to Auburn.

Milford Clark. a well Known resident of DeKalb county and a former member of the board of county commissioners, died Saturday morning at 10:15 at his residence at 201 North Indiana avenue, Auburn. from paralysis. Mr. Clark had been considered dangerously sick from the time he was stricken on Monday, January 2nd.

The deceased, a retired farmer, was born west of Auburn Junction seventy-two years ago January 25th, last. Before moving to Auburn twenty-one years ago he and his family resided on a farm near New Era in Butler township.

On the fifth of October, 1903, Mr. Clark was appointed to fill a. vacancy on the board of commissioners caused by the death of E. R. Shumaker of Waterloo. He was elected to the board in the election the following November and served from January 1904 until January 1906.

His marriage to Clara, Swihart, who resided west of Auburn occurred Oct. 22, 1876. To Mr. and Mrs. Clark were born six children, one of whom a son, Warren, died at the age of nineteen years.

Surviving besides the widow are three sons, Oscar Clark of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; Willard Clark of Fort Wayne and Raymond Clark, living west of Auburn: two daughters, Mary, a teacher in the Auburn schools, who resides at home and Mrs. Chester Harner of Jackson township; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchidren. A sister, Mrs. David Krider, resides at 405 South Phillip street, Auburn.

Mr. Clark was a member of the Auburn First M. E. church and for many years belonged to Auburn lodge, No. 191, Knights of Pythia.

The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Auburn First M. E. church. Rev. O. F. Hubbartt, the pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in Cedar Chapel cemetery in Butler township.
