Groff was a member of Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, Quarryville.
Born in Mountville, he was the son of the late Herbert and Frances Hieny Groff.
His wife, Mildred Eshleman Groff, died Sept. 24 in an automobile accident in Drumore Township, along with a daughter, Nancy Ladd Arth.
Surviving are a son, a half brother, four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife and daughter, he was preceded in death by another daughter, Janice Spies, and two brothers, Darvin and Donald Groff.
