Born Sept. 10, 1920, in Goodison, she was the daughter of the late Merle and Florence (Wade) Hubbard. In Pontiac in 1942, she married Forrest Rogers, who preceded her in death Dec. 2, 1996.
Vivian worked as a receptionist in a doctors office, for Dr. Christie, Dr. Schroeder and Dr. Kolberg, for more than 20 years. She also worked at the Leelanau Township Library for 10 years.
Vivian was a long-standing member of the Northport Evangelical Covenant Church.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Starkey of Traverse City, Connie (Robert) Podleski of Suttons Bay, Michael (Sylvia) Rogers of Northport and Patrick Rogers of Northport; three sisters, Ethel Robinson, Myrtle (Joe) Sweet and Jessie Sweet; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Ralph Hubbard; and two sisters, Helen Palmer and Velma Jarvis.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Mart-inson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 11, at Northport Evangelical Covenant Church, with the Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Burial will be in Leelanau Township Cemetery. Traverse City Record Eagle
