W. LAWSON BENNETT, 87, died Thursday in Oklahoma City.
Service will be at 10 a.m. today in the First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Brad Allen officiating and Jody Hilliard assisting.
Mr. Bennett was born on March 10, 1911, in Pope County, Ark., to George H. and Bertha (Lawson) Bennett. On Sept. 3, 1939, in Burkburnett, Texas, he married Margarett Russell. She preceded him in death on Jan. 30, 1996.
Survivors include three sons, George Bennett of Bedford, Texas, Don Bennett of Tacoma, Wash., and Al Bennett of Midwest City; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Sue Love.
Bearers will be Ed Wagnon, Glen Peterson, Bob Harris, Bradley Thompson, P.O. Kidd and James Kaspereit.
