She was born in Georgetown to John A. and Minerva Emory.

She married Forrest Irvin Ross on June 29, 1931. He preceded her in death in 1942.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty L. (Donald) Schultz of Bismarck and daughter-in-law, Elsa Ross of Tilton; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Norman Ross; four brothers, Clarence Emory, Clyde Emory, Charles Emory and Chell Emory and two granddaughters, Julie Siddens and Peggy O'Herron.
