Joseph “Sonny” DiPasquale, Jr., 62 of Millville, passed away at home with his loving wife by his side on Monday, July 27, 2015, after a battle with Melanoma Cancer. Sonny was born on January 17, 1953 in Millville, NJ, where he was raised. He graduated from Millville High School, Class of 1971. Sonny was self-employed as a home improvement contractor. Sonny was member of the Millville Elks Lodge #580, Millville Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1836 and the Loyal Order of Moose Millville Lodge #2488. Sonny was a firefighter in the Carmel Fire Department and also a member of the Fire Police. Sonny enjoyed playing music and being a member of the bands, “Within Reality” and “Friends”. He loved listening to his granddaughter Abigail Rose playing on his drum set in the upstairs music room. He enjoyed having breakfast at the Old Vineland Tavern, and visiting the Antler’s Lounge and the former Otto’s Bar. He will be missed by his friends from those establishments. Sonny is survived by his wife: Charlotte (Birmingham); granddaughter: Abbey Rose Kline; sister: Joanne Bolton (Bill); brother: Mark (Theresa); several nieces, nephews and many friends. He is predeceased by his father, Joseph DiPasquale, Sr.; mother: Clara (Henderson) and his daughter: Kimberly (Kline) Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM in the Rocap Shannon Memorial Funeral Home, where friends may call from 10 AM. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. There will be an Elks service at 9:30 AM in the funeral home.
