Alan Curtis Cochran, 67, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 1:15 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Fort Madison Community Hospital. He was born on November 15, 1946 in Fairfield, IA to Harold & Mary McCleary Cochran. He married Kathryne Doreen Haigh on March 21, 1975 in Carthage, IL. He owned and operated Anthes Restaurant & Pine Room Bar in Fort Madison and later was a truck driver for Carry Transit. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a past president of the P.A.W. Animal Shelter.
Alan is survived by: his wife: Kathryne Cochran of Fort Madison, IA; 1-daughter: Cassandra Cochran of Manassa, VA; 1-son: Christopher Cochran of Cedar Rapids, IA; his mother: Mary Cochran of Fort Madison, IA & 1-brother: Randy Cochran of Galesburg, IL. He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 with the family to receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Gethsemane Cemetery with Rev. Bill Willis officiating. A memorial has been established for P.A.W. Animal Shelter.
