Bob was born Nov. 11, 1929 , at Emington, a son of Frank and Blanche Jacobs Arbogast .–He married Elizabeth M. Woll on April 7, 1951, at Pontiac.– She preceded him in death.–
Survivors include two sons, Robert (Nancy) Arbogast and Frank (Kathy) Arbogast , both of Pontiac; two daughters, Mary Arbogast , Gainesville, Fla., and Rebecca Arbogast , Kankakee; 12 grandchildren, Amanda Rybinski, Sara Arbogast , Amber Arbogast , Robert Arbogast III, Eric Arbogast , Alex Arbogast , Jill Arbogast , Ali Arbogast , Shawn Arbogast , Tiffany Arbogast , Elizabeth Harris and Jenny Harris; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Bob was educated in Emington, Saunemin and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.–
He was employed in storage rack manufacturing management at Interlake Steel in Pontiac and later as a consultant to the industry.–
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a ranger during the Korean conflict.–
He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Pontiac; the Pontiac Elks Club; and the American Legion.
His body was donated to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois for medical research. -- The Pantagraph, May 31, 2006.
