GRAINGER, Gertrude Mary Ann (Lazarus)
Passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Leamington Memorial Hospital. Born October 15, 1913 at Windsor (Sandwich). She was the daughter of Evaline and Lawrence Lazarus. In 1938 she married Kenneth Grainger, now deceased. She is survived by two daughters Marilyn Flaherty (Patrick) of Traverse City, Michigan and Norma Dumontier (Roger) of Windsor; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Gertrude spent the first ten years of her married life as a farm wife near Gesto. For those ten years, working alongside her husband was her life. Sundays she treated family and friends to great chicken dinners. The Graingers moved to Windsor in 1948. Gertrude's interests were circle work at church, bridge, golf and country painting. In the early sixties the Graingers built their beautiful home on Lake Erie in Kingsville and spent their winter months in Florida. Interment in Greenhill Cemetery, Kingsville. .
