Francis Brandon, born Nov 20, 1819 - died Dec 27, 1890.

Francis Brandon was the son of Robert Brandon and Mary Jane Holt. He was a grandson of Francis Brandon Sr. and Sarah Scott, and, Timothy Holt and Elizabeth Chambers. He was my 1st cousin, 5 times removed.

On Dec. 15, 1841 in Callaway Co., Missouri, he married Ann Bennett. She was a daughter of John Bennett and Susan Holt, a granddaughter of Abner Holt Sr. and Elizabeth Brooks. She was my 2nd cousin 4 times removed. They had Mary Annis, James Newton, John R., Susan V., and Laura M. Brandon.

On June 7, 1877, he married his second wife, Georgianna Herring, daughter of George Washington Herring Sr. and Lucy Simco. Georgianna Herring was my great grandaunt. They had no children.

In 1870 he was elected mayor of the city of Fulton, an office which he filled for four years by consecutive re-elections. In1876 he was elected public administrator of the county, and served for four years until 1881.
