Merry A. Meyer, 70, of Lone Tree, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery at a later date. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Merry. Meredith Ann Stock was born on August 10, 1944, in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Howard and Jean (Musser) Stock. Merry was a 1962 graduate of Lone Tree High School. In June of 1963, Merry was united in marriage to David Meyer in Lone Tree, Iowa and later divorced. While living in Ft. Worth, Texas, Merry worked as a nurse’s aide for the Renaissance Park Multi-Care. After moving back to Lone Tree, she worked for the Lone Tree Health Care Center until her retirement. She was a member of the Lone Tree American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed fishing, reading, traveling, dining out and spending time with her family.
Merry will be deeply missed by her sons, Rick Duane Meyer of Lone Tree, Steven John Meyer of Everman, Texas and Scott Allen Meyer of Lone Tree; mother, Jean Stock of Nisswa, Minnesota; one sister, Meta Phelps and her husband, Garry of Nisswa, Minnesota; one niece, Sarah and one nephew, Tim.
