ABILENIAN'S BURIAL RITES SET TOAY AT SWEETWATER

Sweetwater, Oct. 22 - Last rites for C. C. Alexander, Sr., 54, Abilene plumber and mechanic, will be held Monday at 4 p.m. at the Cate-Spencer Funeral Home here. The Rev. Lloyd J. Allen, pastor of the local First Christian Church is to officiate. Burial in Sweetwater Cemetery will be with full military honors, conducted by the local VFW post.

Mr. Alexander died at Sweetwater Sunday. His Abilene home was at 1381 Sycamore St., but he had lived in Sweetwater prior to moving to Abilene in 1942.

A veteran of both World War I and World War II, he held a Purple Heart medal. During the recent war, he was captured by the Japanese and held a prisoner of war.

Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; one son, C. C. Alexander, Jr. of Sweetwater; three brothers, E. E. Alexander of Sweetwater, Jack of Houston, and Harry, stationed in Cheyenne, Wy. with the Air Force; four sisters, Mrs. Cora Raider of Sweetwater, Mrs. Mildred Jones of Sweetwater, and Mrs. O. H. Cowart and Mrs. C. W. Cushing, both of Bristow, Okla.; and three grandchildren.
