Sweetwater, June 7 - Last rites for George J. Adkins, Sr., a retired farmer of Sweetwater, have been set for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Fundamental Baptist Church, with the Rev. A. L. Patterson, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery. Patterson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Adkins, a resident of Sweetwater for 12 years, died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday at his home from a heart attack.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, George J. Adkins, Jr. of Sweetwater and Preston C. Adkins of Monahans; one daughter, Mrs. Meady Sylvester of Roswell, N.M.; and four brothers, Henry of Las Cruces, N.M., Jackson of huntsville, Ark., David of Kermit and James of LaPorte.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
