ROCK MILLS
A gloom was cast over this community on Friday, March 9th, when it was learned that Mr Thomas Atkinson had passed to the great beyond. The deceased gentleman died very suddenly from heart trouble. Mr Atkinson was a good neighbor and was highly respected by all who knew him. He was a fond father and will be terribly missed by the family. The funeral took place to Salem Cemetery on Monday afternoon after a service at the house conducted by Revs. Duffield and Wakefield, Methodist ministers of Maxwell and Proton. Those who attended the funeral from a distance were Mr and Mrs Joseph Atkinson of Durham, Messrs W J and Jas Atkinson of Toronto. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family.
