PEORIA - Helen Grace Abele, 86, of Tempe, Ariz., formerly of Peoria, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, in Phoenix.
She was born Jan. 27, 1918, in St. Louis to John and Grace Cruts Mahaney.
Surviving are two sons, Raymond of Peoria and John of Clovis, Calif.; two daughters, Susan Abele of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Carolyn Anderson of Clearwater, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She had worked for the state of Illinois.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace Community Church in Tempe. There will be no visitation. Carr Tenney Mortuary in Tempe is in charge of arrangements.
