Bessie Edna Lantz 1994 Bridgewater Bulletin

Bessie Edna Lantz, 97, New Germany, passed away December 1, 1994, at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Brookfield Mines, Queens County, she was the daughter of the late John and Annetta (Wentzell) Veinot.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany; organist and Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. She was a member of the New Horizons Club, the Bible Society, Red Cross, and past member of the Rebekahs. She worked in the Lantz's General Store most of her life.

She is survived by her son, Chester Lantz and daughter-in-law Shirley. She had 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Evelyn Zwicker; sons Eugene"Bub," an infant son, Mervyn; five brothers, Harris, Arthur, Ellard, Randolph, and John (Jack) Veinot.

The funeral service was held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Saturday, December 3, 1994, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rolf Meindl officiating. Pallbearers were three grandsons, Blair, Benton Lantz, Kenneth Zwicker, George Feindel, John Parnell, and Nelson Veinot. Interment was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
