DIED AT JENNINGS

Mrs. Sarah Nelson, Formerly of Lake City,
passed away last Saturday.
Mrs. Sarah Nelson, formerly Mrs. Sarah Vincent of Lake City, died at her home in Jennings at 6:30 last Saturday morning. The cause of death was heart trouble.
Sarah Fulkerson was born at Ancaster, Canada, October 4, 1847. She was married in Canada, September 1, 1867, to Lewis J. Vincent. They had four sons and four daughters. After living for some years in Chippewa Lake, Michigan, they came to Lake City in 1890, where Mr. Vincent died in 1894. (1892) On September 2, 1898, she was married to Charles Nelson of Lake City, who died August 1906. During her second widowhood she kept her home at Lake City but lived most of the time with her daughter in Jennings. On July 24, 1909, she died of heart disease aggravated by dropsy. The funeral was held Monday at Jennings, Rev. Sidebotham of Lake City conducted the services. Burial was in Reeder Cemetery.
Mrs. Nelson has been a resident of Missaukee County for over 20 years and leaves many warm friends. She is also survived by one son, B.D. Vincent, and three daughters----Mrs. Forrest Samis of Jennings, Mrs. Robert Walker of Boyne City, and Mrs. Arthur Martin of Hart.

Death of Well-Known Lady Occurred
Saturday.
Mrs. Sarah Nelson died on Saturday last at the home of her son, Basnett Vincent, at Jennings. (Correction, at home of her daughter Jennie Samis of Jennings) heart disease of long standing, together with dropsy, caused her death. She was born in Ancaster, Canada, Oct. 4, 1847, and was married in Canada, Sept. 1, 1867, to Lewis J. Vincent. They came to Lake City in 1890 and Mr. Vincent died here June 6, 1894 (1892) On Sept. 2, 1898, she married Charles Nelson who died in Aug. 1906. She was the mother of eight children, four of whom survive her. They are Basnett Vincent, Mrs. Bernice Walker, Mrs. Maggie Martin, and Mrs. Jennie Samis. Funeral services were held at the residence at Jennings Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock, Rev. Sidebotham officiating. The remains were interred in the old cemetery at this place.

Sarah Vincent-Nelson, her husband Charles Nelson, and a infant son of Forrest and Jennie Samis, that was stillborn about 1910 are said to be buried at the very south end of the Old Reeder Cemetery on M55 outside of Lake City. This cemetery is now known as old Lake City Cemetery. All three graves are said to be along the south fence all are unmarked and apparently not recorded.
