Ben Goble, 83, died Sunday, March 22, in St. Joe's Hospital, Lexington. Mr. Goble was born Oct 27, 1897, in Johnson County, the son of Christopher and Helen Baldridge Goble. He was a resident of West Van Lear and a retired miner. Surviving are his wife, Manchie Robinson Goble; two sons, Everett Goble, Paintsville and Buddy Goble, West Van Lear; three daughters, Imogene Adams, Columbus, OH; Ailene Alred, Paintsville, and Shirley Hale, Ortinville, MI; a brother and sister, Calhoun Goble and Minnie Hurt, West Van Lear; 13 great grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Mar 25, in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with John Sammons officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery with Jones-Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, April 1, 1981
