Peggy Clay, age 79, of Princeton, Texas, passed away September 17, 2013, in Princeton, Texas. Peggy was born November 26, 1933, in Princeton, Texas, to Alva and Arlene (Disheroon) Anderson. She was a 1952 graduate of Princeton High School. Peggy married Arlis Ray Clay on October 9, 1959, in Princeton, Texas. She retired as a school cafeteria director after twenty years of service. Peggy was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton for over fifty years.

She is survived by her husband, Arlis R. Clay of Princeton, Texas; son, Bradley Clay of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Kimberly Ann Clay Bacak and husband, Roger of Irving, Texas; eight in-laws, Charles and Shirley Clay of Blue Ridge, Texas, Freddie and Floyd Welborn of Princeton, Texas, Mary Steuart of McKinney, Texas, Tenny and Darrel Lokey of Wylie, Texas, Finis Bennie “Toby” Clay of Princeton, Texas, Betty Hammond of Irving, Texas, and Weldon Daniel “Bubba” and Bobbie Clay, of Princeton, Texas; and more than thirty nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents in 1996.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 20, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.
