He was the son of Lorenzo and Matilda Logan Kenyon.

Eugene N. Kenyon of 126 North Orchard Street for 29 years an engineer on the St. Lawrence division of the New York Central Lines, died this morning, 30 minutes after he was injured in the derailment of his train at Alder Creek. He was 67 years and nine months old.
Mr. Kenyon was born at Lee Center, NY, Jan. 11, 1863, son of Lorenzo D. and Matilda Kenyon. He spent his early life in Lee Center and Rome, NY and when a young man was employed for a short time in a tannery. He came to Watertown 32 years ago and had since resided here.
When little more than 16 years of age he took employment on the New York Central Lines and after serving three years as fireman was promoted to engineer, a post which he had since held, serving continuously in this capacity for 39 years...
He married twice, his first wife being Miss Julia Spinning who died about ten years ago and his second being Miss Edith Kelly, whom he married about six years ago.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Edith Kelly Kenyon and one adopted daughter, Miss Florence E. Kenyon, both of this city. A brother, William Kenyon, died a number of years ago. Watertown Daily Times, Wednesday Afternoon, September 29, 1920
