URRY-FORDYCE
Wednesday evening, December 27, at the palatial home of Dr and Mrs G Fordyce in Ancona, Ill., occurred a quiet but pretty home wedding. The contracting parties were Miss Nellie Ruth, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Fordyce, and Mr Edward H Urry.
The house was tastefully decorated; the prevailing colors being red and green, which presented a pleasing effect. Promptly at 6 o'clock Mrs Harry S Fordyce took her position at the piano and while the beautiful strains of the wedding march filled the house, the wedding party came to its position beneath a beautiful wreath, in which was arranged a bell. The bride was escorted by the flower girl, Miss Ruth Louise Camp. The groom was preceded by Elder J W Camp, who in an impressive manner said the words that united their hearts and fortunes.
After congratulations the bride and groom led the way to the dining room, where a bountiful supper was served. The bride was attired in blue silk chiffon, and the groom wore the conventional black. The happy couple were the recipients of a number of useful presents. Mr and Mrs Urry are held in high esteem by a large circle of friends who wish them a happy journey through life.
