Cpl. McGinn, Co. B, 107th Supply Train, survived the torpedoing & sinking of the troopship "Tuscania" on 5 February 1918 in the North Channel between Scotland & Ireland by German submarine UB-77. He returned from World War I aboard the "Virginian" in May 1919. On both voyages, he listed his next-of-kin as his mother, Mrs. Catherine McGinn, of 109 North Ashland Avenue, Green Bay, Wisconsin.
