Gladys Anderson passed away on September 24, 1994 at the Warren Community Hospital in Warren, Minnesota at the age of 86. Gladys Peters was born on January 18, 1908 in Coatsburg, Illinois, the daughter of Phillip and Maud (Flack) Peters. She was raised in Viking, Minnesota and graduated from Warren High School. She was united in marriage on September 23, 1934 to Hugo A. Anderson at Viking. They made their home in rural Warren, where they farmed, except from 1942-1946, when they lived in Gresham, Oregon, where Hugo worked in the ship yards. She worked at the Good Samaritan Center for almost twenty years. Hugo died on October 27, 1985. She was a member of the McCrea Lutheran Church and active in the Ladies Aid for many years. In 1960, she became a member of First Lutheran Church. Gladys liked to work with crafts and to work in the garden. She was also interested in researching her family's history. Left to mourn her passing are three sons, Lowell D. and wife, Kay of Warren, Minnesota, Loren and wife Marion of Apple Valley, Minnesota and Gene and wife, Connie of Moorhead, Minnesota. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Tracy, Spencer and wife, Diane, Terri, Dayle, Craig, Lori, Cherie, Greta and Brice, two great-grandchildren, Dustin and Misty and brother, Orvil Peters of Thief River Falls, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Johnie and Glen and two sisters, Maude Hallstrom and Mildred Peters.
