MADISON — Mrs. Anna Lumina died on April 10, 1995 at the Four Winds Nursing Home. She was born on July 26, 1899 in Isolaccia, in the Province of Sondrio, Italy. She was the daughter of Christina and John Ponti. She came to the U.S. at the age of 6 with her mother, her sister, Linda and her brother Milo, having been preceded to Madison by her father. In 1922, she married Louis Lumina.

Survivors include her children, Lawrence (Mary), Virginia (Tom) Schmelzer and Gloria (Peter) Accardo; a daughter-in-law, Virginia (James Lumina) Meintner; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a sister, Agnes Ponti; her brothers, John (Maggie) and Peter; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis on January 31, 1973; two brothers, Milo and Joseph; two sisters, Linda and Mary; and a son, James. Funeral services will be held at ST. JAMES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1134 St. James Court at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 1995. The Rev. Douglas Duschack will officiate with burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
