Jack D. Shaarda, age 82, resident of New Haven, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at The Willows at Willard.

He was born on January 26, 1933 in Willard, Ohio to John and Veva (Risley) Shaarda.

Jack graduated from New Haven High School, was a Sergeant in the Army during the Korean War, was a farmer, an owner/operator of Attica Implement and later worked for Wiers Farms for 35 years. He attended the New Haven United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, watching sports and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, Steve (Tina Whidden) Shaarda of Norwalk and Drew (Krystal) Shaarda of Lucas; two daughters, Dawn Shaarda of Delaware and Tracy Shaarda-Krueger of Norwalk; eight grandchildren, Erin Coovert, Mandy Balbuena, Chelsea Graham, Taylor and Dylan Krueger and Autumn, Connor and Ashley Shaarda; great-grand daughter, Penelope Balbuena and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol E. (Fink) Shaarda on August 11, 2011; brother, Robert Shaarda and sister, Eleanor Herweyer.

Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM where a funeral service will be on Monday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Todd Nielsen officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stein Hospice of Sandusky.
