Sarah E. Kingsbury was born in 1839 in the family home on Kingsbury Hill, the daughter of Harvey and Betsey Anna (White) Kingsbury.
She married first, Oscar Hoffman on August 18, 1840 and together had two children:
1) Carl Hoffman
2) Amanda Hoffman
Oscar was a Union Soldier during the Civil War and was killed in battle on 29 AUG 1862.
Sarah married second, William Calder in September, 1867. He died in 1879. I know of no children from her second marriage.
After William's death, Sarah lived with her mother Betsey in Ocean Grove, NJ. Her mother passed away in 1900, and Sarah died in 1906.
