Margaret graduated from East High School here in Des Moines.
She was employed at several places in her career, including Central National Bank and the State of Iowa in the Agricultural Division.
She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great– grandchildren.
Margaret also loved to visit shut-ins, attending church and spending time shopping.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry, parents, Cary and Opal (Buck) Sheets, son, Kent Aschan; great-granddaughter, Casey Aschan -Cox; and brothers, Duane and Marvin Sheets, and Paul Wycoff.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
