Lula was a member of Chancellor Christian Church and she enjoyed traveling, playing bingo with a Senior Citizen group, walking in the mall and helping her husband, Bill, with landscape design. She worked in the office of VDOT in Appomattox for 13 years and as office manager for Waddell and Reed, Financial Services in Washington, DC for 13 years. She is survived by two daughters and a sister, Pauline Steinruck of Buckingham County.
