MILLER (NEE DEBRUYN)---Mrs. Barbara J. Miller, aged 73, passed away Sunday May 2, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart; her parents, Luella and Herbert Geskus, William DeBruyn; mother-in-law, Mary Richards. Surviving are her children, Michael (Susan) Miller, Nancy (Thomas) Hirt, Douglas (Pamela) Miller, Dennis (Melinda) Miller; grandchildren, Sara, Zach, John, Chris, Matt, Katie, Shelby, Rena and Chloe; brother, William (Patricia) DeBruyn of CA.; sister-in-law, Marion "Ikey" Payne; many other relatives and friends. Barbara graduated from Godwin High School in 1948. She worked at Kmart for 21 years, retiring in 1995. Barbara was proud to be a baptized member of Southlawn Church of God. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 6, 2004 at the Southlawn Church of God, 3880 Jefferson SE., with Pastor Richard Alcumbrack officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ronan-Vanderpool Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. Interment Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Southlawn Church of God.
