died Monday, July 27, 2015 at Aspen
Rehab and Health Care in Silvis.
Graveside services will be held at
1:00 AM Saturday, August 1, 2015 at
Mt. Maria Cemetery, 303rd Street N.,
Hillsdale, IL.
Nina was born April 23, 1940 in
Macomb, IL, the daughter of Gale
and Ora (Johnson) Bolen. She married
Doyal Mabeus in 1964. Nina owned and
operated the restaurant in Hillsdale
for several years, worked for a time
at Seaford’s Clothing Company in Rock
Island and was the Village Clerk in
Hillsdale for 9 years. She also
served on the Village Board for two
terms. Nina enjoyed just being home
with her husband and family.
She is survived by her husband Doyal of
Hillsdale; son, Raymond Bolen, WI;
daughter, Diana Hedgecock, Metropolis,
IL; 4 grandchildren, Donald, Fred,
Garth, Sophie; and 3 great
grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her parents; and 3 brothers.
