Gate City, VA – Kenneth H. Absher, 63, of Gate City, VA went home to be with the Lord early Monday morning, July 27, 2015 at Holston Valley Medical Center after an extended illness.

He was born in Kingsport and had lived in Gate City, VA all his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Deward H. Absher; sister, Louise Absher Ketron and brother in law, Thomas Paul “Tommy” Swift.

Surviving are his mother, Imalove Calhoun Absher of Gate City, VA; sister, Judy Absher Swift of Kingsport; brother in law, James Ketron, Sr. of Gate City, VA; niece, Teresa Ketron Smith of Gate City, VA; nephew, Jimmy Ketron, Jr. and wife, Krista of Big Stone Gap, VA.

A Graveside Service will follow in the Garden of the Last Supper in Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
