MRS. BARTLETT CAPPS PASSES AWAY
Was Seventy-Seven Years Old and Had Been Ill Several Months.
Mrs. Bartlett Capps, seventy-seven years old, passed away at her home on East Walnut street at 11:30 Tuesday night, of infirmities incident to old age. Her death had been expected for several days. She is survived by her husband and her children, W.B. Capps, of Iola, Kas., Mrs. W.M. Tillery, of Monegaw Springs, and Mrs. C.T. Capps, of Nevada. All of her children were with her during her last illness.
Mary Ellen Hendricks was born in Lincoln county, Missouri, where she was married to Bartlett Capps, in 1863. Forty years ago the family moved to St. Clair county and lived there until four years ago, when they came to Nevada.
Mrs. Capps had been a member of the Christian church for forty-five years. She was an excellent Christian woman, and the family have the sympathy of their large circle of friends in their sorrow.
The funeral will be conducted by Rev. Authur Stout assisted by Rev. Blalock, at the home at ten o'clock Thursday morning, and burial will be at Newton Burial Park.
