Lucy Emily Keith, daughter of Claude Allen and Dolly Ann Austin Lawler, was born Sep 22, 1910, near Hartville in Wright County, MO. She departed this life Friday, June 14, 1996, in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 22 days. On Dec 2, 1931, she was united in marriage to Herman Clifford Keith and to this union two daughters and one son were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Herman on Feb 17, 1974; a son-in-law Otis Lemons; and a brother Woodrow Lawler. Lucy is survived by two daughters Lalah Lemons of Hartville, MO, and Kay Gregory and her husband Jim of Shreveport, LA; a son and daughter-in-law Faye and Dorotha Keith of Independence, MO; 5 grandchildren Gary and Terry Lemons, Michael and Teresa Gregory and Jeff Keith; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister Retha Shull of Hartville, MO; a brother Johnny Wisdom of Hartville, MO; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born in Wright County and lived there all of her life. Throughout the years she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. Lucy made her profession of faith in Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of New Home Free Will Baptist Church. She was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed taking care of her home. She also liked singing, quilting and working in her garden. Lucy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed, but the memories she provided her family and friends will live on forever. Burial New Home Cemetery.
