TAYLORVILLE -- Harold T. “Aldo” Klinghammer 57, of Taylorville, IL passed away 11:15 a.m., Monday, July 27, 2015, in his residence.
A service to celebrate Aldo’s life will begin with a time of visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening, July 30, 2015, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion, IL. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday morning, July 31, 2015, at Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery, Harristown, IL. Aldo was born March 22, 1958, in Taylorville, IL the son of Fred and Dominica “Mickey” (Bucca) Klinghammer Jr. He owned and operated Southside Shuffle Bar in Taylorville and was a partner in the Thunderbird Lounge. Aldo was also a partner in several rental real estate properties in the Taylorville area. Aldo enjoyed participating in many chili cook-offs all over the country. He won many of these events. He enjoyed playing bocce ball, horseshoes, and pitching washers.
Surviving are his brother: Fred M Klinghammer and his wife Kathy of Decatur; sisters: Jean Reynolds of Decatur and Linda Barnhart and her husband Bob of Chaffee, MO; sister-in-law: Debbie Klinghammer of Paducah, KY; thirteen nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Michael Nelson and Billy Klinghammer and his sister: Susan Nagy.
