HERMAN W. RUPOW EXPIRES AT 79; CHURCH SERVICE

Herman W. Rupnow, 79, of the Town of Westford, Dodge County, died at 11 a.m. Monday at the Lutheran Hospital in Beaver Dam following several years of illness. He had farmed his entire lifetime.

Born Nov. 26, 1887, in Germany, he was the son of Fred and Amelia (Burger) Rupnow. He came to the United States with his parents at the age of 6 months and the family settled in the Burnett area. In 1909 he moved to a farm west of Randolph and to his present farm address in 1943. He married Lydia Schultz Oct. 28, 1915. Mr. Rupnow was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fox Lake.

Survivors include his widow; two sons, Arnold F., Evansville, and Harold E., Beaver Dam; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandchild, three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Kratz Funeral Home, Fox Lake, until 11:30 a.m. Thursday and from noon to St. John’s Lutheran Church until the 2 p.m. funeral service, Rev. Frederick Mutterer officiating. Burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery.
