Robert E. Lucas, 65, of Fall River, husband of the late Kathleen (Ring) Lucas, and son of the late William and Simone (Audette) Lucas, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015.
A graduate of BMC Durfee High School and Bristol Community College, he had managed the former Nira Lumber Co., was a bus driver for the Southeastern Regional Transit Authority, and was employed at the New Bedford District Court.
He leaves two daughters, Michelle Dumais (Joseph) and Deborah Lucas (Todd Doyle), all of Fall River; grandchildren, Amanda Kathleen Souza, Charles James "CJ" Dumais and Schuyler P. Dumais; a great-grandson, Miles Lucas Pina; siblings, William G. Lucas of Swansea, Jane Martins (late husband Manuel) of NC and Peter D. Lucas (Karen) of Tiverton; an aunt, Doris Mello (Frank) and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Following cremation, his funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, Tiverton. Burial, Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation and flowers omitted. Donations may be made to American Heart Assn., 300 Fifth Ave. # 6, Waltham MA 02451.
