RUSSELL G. FAUST
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today for Russell G. Faust, 80, brother of Mrs. Florence Barkley of Decatur, at the Convoy United Methodist Church. A resident of Convoy, route 2, he died at 12:15 p.m. Friday in Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert, O., after a brief illness.
The Rev. Gary Exman officiated at the memorial service, and burial was in the Blue Creek Cemetery.
He was born August 12, 1903 in Paulding Co., Ohio, the son of C. Perry and Anna Ayers-Faust. He married Ruth L. Carey on May 26, 1923. They were married 61 years. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Russel Gene Faust of West Baden and Richard D. Faust of Tallahassee, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Betty J. Snyder of Ft. Wayne; a second sister, Mrs. Olive Meyer of Convoy, O.; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Faust was a contractor and owned the Faust Well Drilling Co. in Fort Wayne. He retired in 1961. He was a member of the Convoy, O., United Methodist Church.
