Ann Marie Wittmann was welcomed into the Lord's arms on Friday, July 17, 2015. She was born August 13, 1955, in Appleton, to Robert Wittmann and the Late Barbara Wittmann. Ann was a graduate of Kaukauna High School and received her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Ann was very proud of her service to her country and her Military career included two years with the U.S. Army and twenty one years with the Air Force Reserves. While serving in the Air Force Reserves, Ann received numerous achievement awards and recognition for outstanding service. Ann is survived by her loving children, Ana (Justin Clark) Torres and David Torres; her beautiful grandchildren, Kennadi Clark, Anthony Torres, Lillyana Torres; father, Robert Wittmann and wife, Berla; siblings, Kay (Mike) Gloudemans, Mary (Doug) Smith, Jon (Beth) Wittmann. Amy (Ron) Buchinger; Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friend throughout her life, Cathy Gargas. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. A private family service will be held at the Central Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in King, WI, with full military honors to be presented.

Ann was the daughter of Barbara Ann Ingenthron Wittmann and Robert J. Wittmann. She graduated from Kaukauna High School and received her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI. She served her country and her military career included two years with the U. S. Army and twenty-one years with the Air Force Reserves. While serving in the Air Force Reserves, she received numerous achievement awards and recognition for outstanding service. She was proud of her military service and gained the rank of Master Sergeant.

She enjoyed camping with her children, gardening, and her cats. She was intelligent, well-read, witty, and had an interest in national and international affairs.

She is survived by her twins, David Wittmann-Torres and Ana (Justin Clark) Wittmann-Torres; her beautiful grandchildren, Kennadi Clark, Anthony Torres and Lillyana Torres; Father, Robert J. Wittmann and wife Berla; siblings Kay Lynn Wittmann Gloudemans and her family; Mary Lee Wittmann Smith and her family; Jon M. Wittmann and his family; and Amy Jo Wittmann Buchinger and her family. She also leaves her friend throughout her life, Cathy Cargas. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, one great-nephew, one great-niece, and many cousins.

In addition, Ann was the great-great granddaughter of two German immigrants to the United States who both served in the U. S. War of Rebellion: Dominic Ingenthron, who enlisted on 10 Sep 1861 at Lawrenceburg, Dearborn Co., Indiana; Private in the 32nd Indiana Infantry, Company "D".
Mustered in 10 Sep 1861; mustered out 07 Sep 1864 at Indianapolis IN; born 1818 in Mundenheim, Bayern, Germany; died 1901 in Wapakoneta, Auglaize Co., OH (maternal side).

Paternal Side: Michael Wittmann, born 1835 in Baden, Germany; Musician in the 9th IL Infantry, Field and Staff.
A resident of Kaukauna, Outagamie County, WI from 1880 through 1910+-. He was a Master Taylor, and the progenitor of this WITTMANN family.
