VIRGINIA BEACH - Thelma Hogge Miller, 70, who retired as deputy treasurer forthe city of Virginia Beach, died Saturday, May 14, 1994.

Mrs. Miller, who had been a city employee for more than 35 years, was a native of Norfolk. She was a member of Kings Grant Baptist Church, the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 75 of Virginia Beach and past president of American Business Woman's Association. She graduated in 1942 from Maury High School.

Survived by her husband, George Columbus Miller of Virginia Beach; a son, H. Stanley Hogge of Virginia Beach; her mother, Alice E. Chance of Norfolk; a step son, George Curtis Miller of Virginia Beach; a step daughter, Patricia M. Wyant of Kansas, Ohio; and two nieces, Frances Topper of Virginia Beach and Susan Williams of Midlothian.

Funeral 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Kings Grant Baptist Church by Rev. W. Jerry Holcome and Chaplain Kenneth A. Askew. Burial with Eastern Star services will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. Family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel 7-8:30 p.m. Monday. Memorial donations may be made to Khedive Temple, Hospital Transportation Fund for Crippled and Burned Children, P.O. Box 1245, Norfolk 23501.
