He grew up in Elysian Fields and graduated from Elysian Fields High School in 2004. He was an outgoing young man who enlisted right out of high school, served a year-long stint in Iraq and came back to the states unscathed. He returned home in November 2005, but remained on active duty. At the time of his fatal accident he was on personal time doing what he loved best–riding his motorcycle. He always told his mother every time he would go on about the motorcycle, 'If you die doing something you love, it's not a tragedy.' He was killed while riding his motorcycle at age 20.
