Joan G. Marcucci, 80, of Cherryville, PA, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall Twp. She was the wife of Togle J. Marcucci. They were married 63 years last December. She spent most of her career as a legal secretary for the Steckel & Stopp Law Offices in Slatington, serving 21 years until retiring in 1988. Previously, she was a founder and former vice president of Press Tech Enterprises in Mt. Joy.
Joan very much enjoyed quilting and belonged to the Crazy Quilters and Heart InHand guilds. Born in Sayre, Bradford County, she was a daughter of the late James and Elsie (Pritchard) Brown. Survivors include her husband; sons, James and wife, Trudy of Slatington, Michael and wife, Debra of Kutztown and Alan of Cherryville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and sister, Mrs. Donna Lutz of Mehoopany. Joan was predeceased by her son, Maurice. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 23 at T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Calling hours are 10 to 11 a.m Thursday. Contributions may be made to the Fellowship Community, 3000 Fellowship Dr., Whitehall, PA 18052.
