William L. "Bill" O'Grady, 65, passed away in his residence in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
He is the son of William George and Beulah Belle (Hensley) O'Grady. He married Carolyn L. Griffin on June 30, 1956 and she preceded him in death on May 27, 1996.
He was a U.S. Army veteran; was retired from GTE; owned and operated Telephone Service Company; was active in the Republican Party; served as a precinct committeeman; was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Central Christian Church.
He had four sons, William P., Larry B., Gary L., and Darren T. O'Grady; a sister, Patricia O. Grove; a step-brother, J.D. Hansmann; a sister-in-law, Patricia Elaine Griffin; a brother-in-law, Ernest "Junior" Griffin; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.
