Mrs. Ella J. Campbell
Mrs. Ella J. Campbell, widow of Daniel W. Campbell, and a resident of Waterloo for 38 years, died suddenly at 7:30 a.m. today. She had just arisen and fell back upon the bed where she died in a few moments. She had been ailing for two weeks, but was up and about yesterday.
Since the death of her husband two years ago she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. W.E. Garrabrant 421 Reber avenue, who with a son, W.E. Ogle, 822 Third street west, former city councilman, are the surviving members of the family.
Mrs. Campbell was born at New Hartford, Ia., where she grew to womanhood and was married to Mr. Campbell. The body is at the O'Keefe & Towne mortuary, pending funeral arrangements.
Iowa Marriage Records shows Ella J. Ogle (Ella J. Ackerman) age 36, marrying 29 Aug 1899 in Dubuque, IA to David J. Campbell. Shows her parents as L. G. Ackerman and Ellen Kelly. Ella's name on the marriage record is Ella J. Ogle, but below that shows Ella J. Ackerman and says it is her 2nd marriage (also 2nd marriage for David J. Campbell). Contributed by #46960471
