Kathryn Annie Ashley, 86, of Miami, Fla., formerly of Gibson City, died at 7:20 p.m. Monday (Jan. 15, 2007) at her home in Miami.
Mrs. Ashley was born June 20, 1920, in Wenona, a daughter of Frank and Kathryn Sauter. She married Francis Ashley on Nov. 7, 1940. He died on Nov. 18, 1997.
Surviving are two sons, Richard (Mary) Ashley of Philadelphia, Pa., and Ronald (Vivian) Ashley of Atlanta, Ga.; and one granddaughter, Andrea Ashley.
She was preceded in death by one brother, George Sauter, and one sister, Frances Kendall.
Kathryn was a member of the Immanuel Presbyterian Church and was active in the Eastern Airline Wife Association in Miami. She was a PTA member for her sons while they were in school and she was also a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Society and a proud Republican.
