My great grandfather.

Bud Pitts was first married to Martha Sumrall, after the death of Martha he married Lillie Bell Sumrall. Martha and Lillie were sisters. Martha and Bud had two children and on her death bed she asked Lillie to marry her husband and raise her children. Bud and Lillie had four children together.

Cause of death: typhoid fever is listed as cause of death on his death certificate.

Mr. Louie Pitts (Bud was am uncle of Mr. Louie) told me that Bud was working at a lumber mill camp on 84 Highway in Wayne County. They had living quarters at this mill. Bud went down to the well to get a drink of water. After drinking the water his stomach began to cramp. He went to his quarters to lay down for a while and he died.
