91 passed quietly in sleep Jan. 26 1998 after a brief illness.

Ida was born July 17 1906 in Richmond Minn. She has been a resident of Ventura County since 1962 coming from the Minneapolis St. Paul Minn. area. Ida was a church organist and homemaker. She spent several years as a 4H leader and was a member of the St. Mary Magdalen Altar and Rosary Society. Through the years Ida devoted her time and energy not only to her family but also to her church and schools in fund raising activities. In her later years she traveled with her husband enjoyed her grandchildren and tended to her garden. She will be dearly missed by many.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband Ray Lammers Sr.

Her family includes her children Helen Cowherd of Darien Conn. Ray Lammers Jr. of Thousand Oaks and Kathy Kochevar of Camarillo. Ida had 11 grandchildren Douglas Cowherd of Ann Arbor Mich. Anne Cowherd of New York City Robert Cowherd of Cambridge Mass. Sarah Cowherd of New York City Joseph Cowherd of Darien Conn. Heather Scarr of Orlando Fla. Tiffany Lammers of Tempe Ariz. Dawn McClure of Long Beach Debra McClure of Camarillo Brenda Kochevar of Port Hueneme and Laura Cohen of Vancouver Wash. and nine great-grandchildren Katie Marianne Hillary Ashley Danny Jonny Corrynne Brianna and Jessica.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. with a vigil service at 7 p.m. today at the Pierce Bros. Griffin Chapel Camarillo. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Magdalen Chapel with Father John Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park Camarillo.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Pierce Bros. Griffin Mortuary Camarillo.
