Frances J. Ainsworth, 89, of Island Road, Stonington, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at Mariner Health at Pendleton, where she had been a patient for a short time.
She was born in Provincetown, Mass., on June 6, 1914, the daughter of Antone and Frances Oliver Pereira.
She married John Matthew Ainsworth in New Haven, on Sept. 28, 1943. He predeceased her in October of 1954. They made their home in this area in 1946, moving here from Waltham, Mass. She was also predeceased by a son, John "Tank" Ainsworth Jr. on July 2, 1967 while he was serving in Vietnam. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
